  • Proactively seek out procedures and chief complaints you are uncomfortable with
  • Learn how to present to physicians with solid differential diagnoses
  • Learn evidence based orders and common medication dosages
  • Learn how to budget time between documenting and maintaining patient flow
  • Recognize your limitations
  • Learn how to interpret ECG, X-Ray, and CT
  • Paracentesis

  • Pelvic Exam

  • Rectal/Prostate Exam

  • Stool Guaiac

  • Foley Catheter

  • NG/OG Tubes

  • Eye Exams: visual acuity, EOMI, peripheral vision, pupils, Fundoscopic exam, tonometry (for intraocular pressure), fluorescein staining & Wood’s lamp

  • Ultrasound: eFAST, Ocular, Abdomen (i.e. Gallbladder), Testicular, etc

  • Peripheral IV

  • IO’s

  • Airway management/ Intubation

  • Ortho reductions & splinting

  • I&D

  • Toe Nail Removal

  • Lumbar Puncture

  • Central Line
